
I did not have success with this method or using Disk Utility's ISO to USB function.

Boot Camp Assistant is installed on all Macs and can be found in your Utilities folder. It copies your Windows 10 ISO file to the USB Flash Drive in a format that can be booted from.

If you purchased your copy of Windows 10 on a USB Flash Drive you can skip to this step. Be sure to only download Windows 10 from the Microsoft site to avoid malware. I was unable to enter a Windows 7 or 8 product key in the Windows 10 installer (it won't ask if it auto detects Win 7 or 8 previously installed). You can also download Windows 10 as a free download from Microsoft, but you will need a valid Windows 10 product key to activate at some point. Purchase Windows 10 on USB flash drive from the Microsoft Store, Amazon or a local computer reseller.
